I AM

Over the years, I have come to really love and appreciate the diversity and uniqueness of people. Even when you think you have met someone that is so much like you, with so many things in common, you are still so different. We all have unique upbringings from all around the globe with different childhood experiences, relationships, careers, hobbies, personalities, and physical differences. We have all experienced a wide variety of wins, losses, triumphs and tragedies that shape us into who we become.

But what I find fascinating is that even with all our differences, in Christ- we are the same. And the best part about it is that everything we are in Christ is beautiful and good. Today, can we just stand in the presence of God and remind ourselves of who he says we truly are in his eyes?

• John 1:12 - I am God’s child

• Ephesians 1:4 - I am chosen

• 2 Corinthians 1:21-22 - I am anointed

• 1 Corinthians 12:27 - I am part of the body of Christ

• Psalm 139:14 - I am fearfully and wonderfully made

• 1 Corinthians 6:17 - I am one with the Lord in spirit

• Colossians 1:14 - I am redeemed and forgiven

• Romans 8:1-2, 31-34 - I am set free from condemnation

• Phillipians 3:20 - I am a citizen of heaven

• Matthew 5:13-14 - I am the salt of the earth

• 1 Corinthians 3:16 - I am God’s temple

I don't know about you, but when I read that list, I stand up just a little bit straighter. Though we may be tempted to focus on who we think we are or who others say or think we are, please don’t ever forget who you truly are in the eyes of the Lord. You are LOVED. You are CHOSEN. You are ABLE to do all things through Christ! May you choose to live confident, bold and brave lives through the love of Jesus Christ and be found prepared and ready for the beautiful, eternal future just ahead.
