HE has your back

I have learned many things about life in these past 40+ years. One thing I know for sure is that everything is always changing. Day to day, month to month, year to year, decade to decade. Some things stay in our lives longer than others but even in relationships, jobs, etc. that we may have for many, many years- there is always growing, adjusting and change that is happening. Change can be the best thing in the world for us in certain circumstances. Other times, we experience changes that we do not welcome or understand.

I have come to realize that the only real stability we have is the truth and love of the Father. I have come to realize that no matter what the change is, good or bad, He is perfectly and flawlessly capable of working everything out for our good. Trusting Him in the hard times takes hardcore faith and relentless prayer but it never fails. God never fails.

When I am experiencing unpleasant change, I continue to pray, “Father, I know that you love me. You promised me that if I stay faithful you will continue to care for me and watch out for me. I give this change of circumstance to you and trust completely that you are working everything out for my good. Take my hand and help me to welcome and embrace this change with full confidence that YOU are in control and already know the outcome. Your way NEVER fails. Give my soul peace and fill my heart with joy. Keep me in the palm of your hand now and forever Lord. In Jesus name…”

God is SO faithful! He has never let me down and I am confident that He never will. Isaiah 43:18-19 says: "Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing!" This means we can be excited for God's next move! Don't dwell on what is changing, going away or being made different. Trust in His perfect process. He is refining you with every change. We may not understand it at the moment, but that is what faith is truly about. Calmly rolling with it and praising Him when we don't understand. Even if He takes something away, don't fight it- He probably has something MUCH better in store for you.

Give yourself to His will and His way completely. You will experience supernatural peace, freedom and deep-rooted joy even when the changing circumstances don't seem favorable. I have experienced the beauty of this many times in my life. Nothing is too small to talk to Him about and nothing is too big for Him to situate. He cares about every detail of your life!

Be confident that with every change that comes your way, He has your back. Everything for a reason. Everything! Be sure to praise Him during the wonderful changes that bring abundant blessings. Show honor and glory to Him by singing praises, meditating on His word, speaking about his goodness to others and staying faithful in prayer. I eagerly await learning so much more about life in the next 40+ years, but this simple truth I will carry with me for the rest of my days:

Accept and embrace change because God has my back and is always working everything out for my good.

This understanding gives my life more peace and balance than I can explain and my prayer for you today is that it will for yours as well.
